William L. Biersach:

William L. Biersach was born in Pasadena, California, on the Feast Day of St. Philip Neri, the "Laughing Saint", in 1953. A product of Catholic grammar and high school, he naturally lost his Faith when the effects of Vatican II came rattling through the world like a maniacal jalopy in the 1960's and 70's. He found his way back to Traditional Rome in 1993 and has been active in trying to reacquaint Catholics with their own religion ever since. The Endless Knot is the first of his Father Baptist novels. He is currently working on the rough draft for the sixth book in the series. He resides in a stone house somewhere in Southern California, likes spicy food, and hopes to retire in Heaven some day.

Such fun to read

I have read all of William Biersach’s Fr. Baptist series. I’ve never had so much fun. I read them every year and start in June to coincide with the timeline in The Endless Knot.
Out of the Depths was another classic. I love the parish of St. Philomena and the characters are wonderful! Whatever would we do without Fr. Baptist, Martin Feeney and the Knights Tumblar? And don’t forget Millie. She won’t let you. If you haven’t read William Biersach, you should start today. I’m always on the lookout for his next book!

Another book I couldn't put down.

Beautiful

There are definitely those more erudite and with better literary understanding then me, but (without revealing any details) the last part of the book from about page 600 or so on was simply beautiful in a Catholic way. I cannot say if this book is my favorite (as I like all of the four that I read) but the last part is my favorite in its "Catholicness." These books and this one in particular provides entertainment but also teaches. I look forward to the next book with Fr. John Baptist and Martin.
