Psychology from a Catholic perspective: game-changing for modern man!

This is a hugely important book for people who are looking to achieve peace of Mind. Fr. Ripperger's approach is quite different from that of normal psychologists in that he incorporates theology and philosophy into it. His argument here is that since man is composed of not simply body, but body and soul, there are different aspects that need to be accounted for and addressed. He of course draws his theology from St. Thomas Aquinas.

This book has helped me greatly in many ways. One of the biggest ways is that it helped me realize how HUGE of a role my imagination, my passions, and my appetites govern what I do. My imagination basically is out of control. The images that I have in my head are of my own doing. This book showed ,e that I have control of these things and can manipulate them according to my will. And once I do this, I can order my mind more toward God and attain peace.

I've read most of Fr. Ripperger's books, and this written in the same dry scholastic style which is incredibly challenging, but if you power through it, it's incredibly rewarding. I highly recommend this book for everyone. It gives you the tools so that when your mental health is suffering, you can step outside of yourself, assess what is happening, and regain your balance.
